Making Cirencester Sparkle for 2018

Christmas in Cirencester is always special and creates a truly memorable family outing in our vibrant, beautiful and historical market town of Cirencester; ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’.  

Cirencester Town Council is proud to host some great festive events for 2018 which showcase our beautiful town with its unique and enticing shopping experience.  Enjoy traditional Christmas events and explore our tastefully restored courtyards and shopping mews, a truly unique retail and dining experience.

Christmas in Cirencester celebrations are always kick started with the annual Cirencester Sparkles Advent Festival & Market which will take place this year on Saturday 1 December. 

We are delighted to announce that Nell Gifford from the Cotswolds very own Giffords Circus will be switching on the lights this year on Saturday 1 December. 2018 marks the 250th anniversary of circus.


There will be lots to enjoy during the day from 11am to 7pm including:

  • Advent Market

  • Arts and Crafts Market

  • Street food and Drink

  • Santa (at the Fleece Hotel)

  • Fair rides

  • Live Stage Performances

  • Popup performance

  • Fireworks
