Cirencester Male Voice Choir

Founded in 2009, draws members from Cirencester and the surrounding areas. Age is no barrier, members have to be a minimum of 18 years of age –with no upper limit!

Musical knowledge is not necessary, neither is the ability to read music, as learning is by listening and repetition. Patience and a sense of humour help the learning process. It has a growing reputation for the variety of music and the quality of sound.

In its short history the choir has performed concerts in local village halls, and grander venues such as Worcester Cathedral, Colston Hall, The Royal Albert Hall and of course our ‘own’ Cirencester Parish Church St John Baptist.

Performances have raised several thousands of pounds that have been donated to local charities.
New members are welcome and if you have even a passing interest, call into a rehearsal and see what goes on. These take place every Monday evening rom 7.30 p.m under the guidance of Musical Director Jules Addison and accompanist Tom Graff.

For further information visit www.cirencestermvc.co.uk, where there are contact details, a photograph gallery, and some video recordings of practice sessions. The choir also has a Facebook page. Take a look, come in and have a listen and maybe take up a pastime that is fulfilling and healthy.
