What is counselling? Counselling provides adults and children with the opportunity to talk in confidence to someone who is trained to listen, to help make sense of difficult feelings, and to enable the client to find the strength to help themselves.
With a counsellor, the client will work in a private and confidential setting where they will be able to talk freely and openly about feelings that are not always possible or appropriate to discuss with family and friends.
Counsellors do not give advice and do not make decisions or make judgements about the client's situation. The job is to enable a client to move forward.
Cotswold Counselling offers affordable counselling to adults couples, and children between the ages of 11-21 years. Home visit are available for those unable to travel to the centre for various reasons.
Following an assessment, as to the suitability of counselling for the client, weekly sessions are available for up to a year if necessary.
