Joining the Youth Town Council

Fancy doing something fun, interesting and rewarding? Do you like meeting new people? Do you enjoy debating and being listened to? If you’re aged 11-14 years, Youth Town Council could be for you!

We’re looking to re-establish a Youth Town Council in Cirencester and are on the hunt for engaging young people aged 11-14 (although we welcome anyone up to age 18) to help us. In previous years the Youth Town Council has helped design and set up a Youth Project called 'Ozone' which is held at the Impact Centre on Lewis Lane every Tuesday 7-9pm during school term time. Youth Town Council members were also the driving force behind the successful Phoenix Festival (www.phoexnix-festival.co.uk) and raised over £40,000 to make the event happen.

Keen to know more? Then come and meet some of the team at our Youth Town Council drop in session on Tuesday 17th February at Bingham House & Gallery, Cirencester. Drop in anytime between 12-2pm to find out information on how YOU can be part of the next Youth Town Council.

Members of the Youth Town Council need to be aged between 11 and 18 years old and need to live in or around Cirencester.

Further information on becoming involved in the Youth Town Council can be obtained from Tel: 01285 655646 or Email:Info@cirencester.gov.uk

Our mission statement is: - "To build a foundation to bridge the gap between the generations, to improve the reputation and impression of youth by running programmes and activities to benefit us all."
