Sports Award for 11 -18 Year Olds

Nominations for the Clive Sherwood Cup are sought from sports clubs based in Cirencester.

The inaugural 2017 cup was won by Ella Gibson for excellence in archery, a competitor at National and International Level.

This is an annual award recognising individual contribution and achievement in sport.  The award is open to anyone aged between 11 – 18 years old at the time of nomination, who have either progressed in a sport, shown leadership / coaching potential or contributed towards the club`s achievements in some way.


Clive Sherwood, who was a long serving member of staff at Cirencester Town Council, was due to retire from his position as Deputy CEO in October 2013, but sadly passed away following illness after years of dedicated commitment to the Council and local community in Cirencester where he worked, and Tetbury where he lived. 

Nomination forms can be hand delivered to the Town Council at Bingham House or sent to the Town Council via or the freepost address Cirencester Town Council, Freepost RTAL UUZG TEBY, Nominations will be received up to the 31st December 2018.
