Established in 1996, the Society seeks to help conserve the ancient market towns as a pleasant place to live and work in.  We strive to improve the environment and quality of life in Cirencester.  We hold monthly meetings with talks and visits, organise the Town Walks and the annual Heritage Open Days. In 1948 Jim Loveday and Bill Stallworthy were founder members of the Cirencester Motorcycle Club. They were instrumental in getting racing going at Chedworth Aerodrome for bikes and they held several races there in the period 1948-50.
