Public Notice: Changes to Traffic & parking Restriction in Cirencester Town Centre

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made the below three (3) Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will amend parking and traffic controls in the Cirencester Town Centre, and Market Place Area, within the Cotswold District, Gloucestershire, as detailed below:

1. Gloucestershire County Council On-Street Parking Order 2017 (Various Roads in Cirencester Town Centre) (Cotswold District) (Variation) Order 2024

• To extend the existing Restricted Parking Zone (No Loading except in signed bays) along Dyer Street;

• To introduce a Motorcycles Only parking bay in Market Place;

• To introduce Disabled Only parking bays on Castle Street, Cricklade Street, Dyer Street, Market Place and West Way (Disabled Badge Holders Only Max Stay 3 Hours);

• To amend/introduce Loading Only bays on Castle Street, Cricklade Street and Dyer Street (Loading Only 8.00am - 6:00pm);

• To relocate the 24 hour Taxi rank in Market Place;

• To introduce extra Pay and Display parking places on Castle Street;

• To introduce various timed No Waiting and No Loading restrictions along North Way, South Way, Dyer Street and Cricklade Street.

2. Gloucestershire County Council On-Street Parking Order 2017 (Amendment To Schedule 1 Cirencester Town Centre) Order 2024

• To introduce Pay and Display parking places on Cricklade Street and Dyer Street with charges (Pay & Display Max stay 2 hours 8am-6pm) as set out in the Schedule below.

3. Gloucestershire County Council (No Entry) (Cricklade Street Cirencester) (Cotswold District) Order 2024

• To prohibit any vehicle (apart from cycles) from entering the northern extent of Cricklade Street in a northerly direction starting at the junction with Ashcroft Road.
