Abbey 900 Art Exhibition

  • Corinium Museum Park Street Cirencester, GL7 2BX UK (map)

First and second year Art and Design students from Cirencester College collaborate to produce an exhibition in Celebration of Abbey 900. The unwary Corinium Museum visitor will be confronted with an installation of repurposed shop mannequins taking their inspiration for historical research and theatrical costume from the likes of the fantasy of Baron Munchausen, the characterisations from Blackadder and the novelty and invention from Steampunk to bring awareness and interest in history to a younger (and older!) audience. Free admission.
