Bands in the Park 2017.  Bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the park listening to the Metz Big Band. 

The Metz Big Band are a 16 piece ‘Big Band’, who play music in the good old ‘Big Band’ style.

"Our repertoire is mainly from the ‘Big Band’ era – of Count Basie, Glenn Miller etc, although we have been known to play the occasional ‘modern’ tune!  With the exception of our Musical Director, all band members are amateurs – in our ranks are engineers, teachers, company directors, accountants, clerks and pensioners. We  formed in Summer 2004 and have been having fun ever since.  We hope you enjoy us as much as we enjoy playing for you".
