Cirencester Citizens Advice Bureau

Cirencester Citizens Advice Bureau

Cirencester Citizens Advice offers free, confidential, in person advice to help local people solve the problems they face across a wide range of  topics which can be anything concerning Your Money, Your Family, Your Daily Life or Your Rights.

Your Money includes managing debts, dealing with benefits, employment rights and problems (pay, unfair dismissal, redundancy, pensions) and tax issues.  If you feel that you cannot cope, please contact us.  We can help you to deal with your debts or we can help sort out your money matters, so that you can avoid getting into debt.  If you have priority creditors and legal action is threatened we advise that you contact us immediately for advice.

Your Family issues could include relationship difficulties, educational concerns (access to education; special educational needs; problems at school; help with educational costs), physical or mental health problems, domestic abuse, or home and neighbourhood issues (how to find somewhere to live, tenancy rights, disrepair, being homeless, bad neighbours).  Ring or drop in to see us at our centre.

Your Daily life includes issues related to communications (telephone, mobile, TV licence), consumer affairs, gas and electricity (sorting out arrears, moving house etc), and travel.

Your Rights can include issues relating to discrimination (at work or elsewhere), immigration, your civil rights and how to use our legal systems.

Cirencester Citizens Advice Bureau is part of the Cheltenham, Cirencester and Tewkesbury CAB and is an independent local registered charity. We welcome also any support and sponsorship or donations to enable us to deliver all our services. See our website for more information on giving.

You can drop in or telephone: a fully-trained voluntary Advisor will give an initial assessment of your problem and advise you on the next steps - either a fuller consultation, or you will be directed to the relevant service/support you seek or to our national advice website www.adviceguide.org.uk which contains a great deal of useful knowledge and tips.
