The Armorial Bearings are based upon a medallion which is attached to the Mayor’s Chain.  This, in turn, is based upon a capital excavated in 1838 and now in the Corinium Museum. 

Considered one of the prettiest towns in the Cotswolds, Cirencester is a gorgeous getaway filled with a multitude of breathtaking sights.

While navigating this stunning region by public transport might seem challenging, it’s certainly possible with a bit of planning.
