Cirencester Ramblers

The Ramblers helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protects the places we all love to walk.  We are the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness.

If you are looking to join a welcoming and friendly walking group - look no further!  As part of the Ramblers we cover the south-east of Gloucestershire and have members throughout the Cotswolds and beyond.

Since our foundation in 1974, our aim has been to encourage people to explore this attractive area of the Cotswolds and Thames Valley, in addition to meeting new friends.  Our footpath volunteers help protect survey and maintain local rights of way.

Our walks take us exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  We arrange led walks most Sundays ranging in difficulty and length, 4 and 10 miles.  There are occasional away weekends and social events such as quiz nights and the annual Strawberry Tea.

We look forward to extending a warm welcome to you on our walks, so come along and find out more. After a few outings we have no doubt you will want to join the Ramblers.  All you need is suitable clothing/footwear, refreshments and, on longer walks, a packed lunch. Please note we only accept Registered Assistance dogs on our walks.

Membership entitles you to discount at certain retail outlets including Cotswold Outdoor, Millets, Blacks and Mountain Warehouse; and access to over 500 led walks every week across England, Scotland and Wales.

Cirencester Town Information based in Bingham House stocks a range of walk leaflets produced by Cirencester Ramblers priced at 20p each.

If you would like further information, please contact us - we look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming you to our Group.
