Update on the Council meeting held on the 8 October:
Grant fund of £11,000 announced by the Town Council; further details to be published this month. Applications open from the 1st to 30th of November with grants being awarded in January.
Cirencester Town Council announces support to the Scout Hut in Cotswold Avenue; CTC owns the freehold and has set aside £2,500 to support has been set aside.
Following the declaration of a climate change emergency, CTC has established a Climate Change Group to work on practical ways in which at a local level we can make a difference in reducing carbon emissions.
CTC approved the Neighbourhood Plan work programme being aligned with CDC’s Local Plan Review and Masterplanning of the town centre. Public engagement and consultation will get under way in the new year.
The safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults is paramount. CTC has provided awareness training for all staff and Councillors and has recently reviewed and updated its safeguarding policy. For further information on safeguarding visit https://www.gscb.org.uk/
