Corporate Strategy Quarterly Update

Corporate Strategy Quarterly Update - May 2022

Our Corporate Strategy has recently been reviewed; the strategy consists of 38 priorities across 5 themes:

• development, design and built environment

• environment & climate change

• community, culture & leisure

• access, infrastructure & transport

• economy, business & retail

Out of the 38 priorities 18 are complete, 3 are delayed and 17 are work in progress; a further update will be published in the late summer/early autumn with details of what has been achieved.

Before we prepare a long-term strategy for May 2023 – May 2027, we want to make sure we have delivered on that which we have already promised and committed to do. From public consultation through to the community plan and planning concept statement, as well as responding to the impact of the pandemic, we identified 38 priorities across 5 themes:

• development, design and built environment

• environment & climate change

• community, culture & leisure

• access, infrastructure & transport

• economy, business & retail

Out of the 38 priorities 3 are complete, 24 are in progress, 7 delayed and 4 not scheduled to start until later this year.

The latest Action Plan has estimated completion dates along with proposed outputs; these are being reviewed by the Council’s Corporate Group in February and further updates will be published in the Spring.
