2025 Christmas Window Winners Announced
Cirencester Town Council is delighted to announce the winner of this year’s Christmas window competition as the Vintage Society in Castle Street. The vintage second hand clothing store, that features clothing from the 1980s, 90s and 00s delivered a retro styled window that was considered the best in Cirencester by this year’s judging panel.
This year’s judges, Cllr Sarah Orr, Mayor of Cirencester, Kim Tucker of KT Family Solicitors, specialists in family law and Sponsor of this year’s Snowman Trail, and visual merchandising specialist and branding consultant Ellie Pounds, from Brand Blossom assessed windows on their originality/creativity, festivity, product display and overall visual impact. Judges were particularly impressed by the number of Christmas windows and the variety of creative approaches.
Over 160 windows were assessed between the 1st December and Monday 15th December, and included windows across the town centre and other areas such as Love Lane Industrial estate.
2025 Winner: Vintage Society
2025 Finalists: The Old Department Store, and The Churn Project
The winner’s cup will be officially presented by the judges on Monday 22nd December and, in announcing the winners, certificates were presented on the 16th December by the Mayor and Community Services Lead Officer, Becky Coles.
Sarah Orr, Mayor of Cirencester added: "The window displays this year were so varied and it was great to see contributions from a wide range of businesses, not only retail shops. The effort and imagination from our local businesses is greatly appreciated and always makes our town look so festive and welcoming. Congratulations to all the winners and my sincere thanks to everyone who has made our town centre look so festive this year. My thanks also to my fellow judges, not just for their time in judging the window displays but to Ellie for offering participants the benefit of her expert guidance and to Kim for sponsoring this year’s Snowman Trail.”
