Play Spaces Advisory Group

Our play spaces are varied and in need of maintenance and improvement; our Junior Town Council has identified a need for all our play spaces to be accessible to all.

The Town Council recognises this and the Land and Property Committee has set up a Play Spaces Advisory Group which includes local parents.

Their role will be a conduit, and point of contact, for engagement and communication with users of equipped play spaces; to undertake an urgent review of play provision in the Abbey Grounds relating to the accessible roundabout and location of sand pits and make a recommendation for a viable way forward;  to receive, for information, updates from officers relating to improvements and day to day maintenance of the Council’s equipped play spaces; to receive, for information, ROSPA reports for the Council’s equipped play spaces; to make recommendations for consideration by officers relating to improvements across all the Council’s equipped play spaces up to the value of £10k and subject to budget availability; to make recommendations for consideration by the Land and Property Committee relating to improvements across all the Council’s equipped play spaces between the value of £10k and £25K.

If you have any comments or would like to engage with this Group please let us know at: landandproperty@cirencester.gov.uk
