Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan - Update
The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (Regulation 16)
Cotswold District Council is seeking views on a proposed neighbourhood development plan for Cirencester. The Plan has been prepared by the Town Council with the help of the local community; it seeks to address town planning issues that local people have identified as important in the area.
All comments will be forwarded for consideration by an Independent Examiner. If the Plan passes examination, it will be put to a local referendum and residents, who are registered to vote, will get a say on whether the local planning authority should use the Plan to help determine planning applications in the Parish.
We are publicising the Plan and inviting comments for a period of 6 weeks beginning on Thursday 16th April 2026 and ending at 5pm on Friday 29th May 2026.

All comments must be received by Cotswold District Council no later than 5pm on Friday 29th
May 2026. Any comments received after this deadline may not be considered. All comments will be published online, with personal and contact details redacted.
