Grant Form and Information 2026-27

Cirencester Town Council’s main grant fund is open for expressions of interest up to Friday 18th September 2026.

Expressions of interest for grant funding will be considered where funding is used towards the well-being of the local community, including environmental, social, and economic well-being. Applicants must demonstrate that the funding directly benefits those who live in Cirencester and/or the place of Cirencester.

We’ll only consider applications where contributory funding is in place/available, and due to demand you may not receive the full grant applied for but could be awarded any amount up to that figure.

The closing date for applications is 4pm on Friday 18th September 2026. The Council’s Finance and Audit Committee will then consider the applications at an informal meeting on September 29th and then make a formal decision on October 20th. Successful grant applicants, including pre-approved multi-year grants, will receive payments in November/December 2026.

We have up to £10,726 to allocate and award this year, in addition to £11,920 of multi-year grants committed to local organisations. We also have £3,600 available for ward-based community projects. This is made up of £100 to each Ward Member to support events and projects in their respective ward, if you have a project that would benefit from this fund, please speak with your local Town Councillor and £250 per ward for individuals and community groups to apply for. This funding is administrated on behalf of the Council by the Community Services Committee.
