Growing a Tree of Hope Across Cirencester

This autumn, Cirencester Town Council is proud to be partnering with Gloucestershire and Swindon Mind to support the Tree of Hope Campaign 2026

Running from 2 September to 10 October, the campaign marks both World Suicide Prevention Day and World Mental Health Day, helping to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing across our community.

The Tree of Hope invites people of all ages to write a message of hope, kindness or encouragement on a leaf and add it to the tree. Whether it's a few uplifting words, a message of support, or a reminder that nobody is alone, every leaf will help create a powerful display of compassion and community spirit.

The campaign launches on Wednesday 2 September at the Town Council Offices before the tree begins its journey around Cirencester, visiting a range of local organisations, community venues and public spaces.

We encourage residents, community groups, businesses and organisations to get involved and add their own message of hope. Together, we can create a lasting reminder that kindness, connection and support can make a real difference.

Follow the Tree of Hope's journey across Cirencester by keeping an eye on the Town Council's social media channels. We'll be sharing updates, photos, venue locations and stories from the campaign throughout the month.
