Martin Graebe, CAHS member and researcher into English traditional folksongs, will talk about folksongs and folklore around Cirencester. Cirencester was a 19th Century centre for the creation and distribution of printed ballads and its role in the revival of interest in songs, dances and folklore of ordinary people. The talk will be illustrated with pictures, tales and songs.
