Cirencester Civic Day

A national day of celebration of civic pride and a chance to say “I care about where I live”.

http://www.civicvoice.org.uk/campaigns/civic-day/

To recognise this Cirencester Civic Society have decided to conduct a Place Check on Friday 15th June.  A place check is a citizen led audit of locations within a town or urban environment.  The aim is to help raise awareness of the things that make a town a good place to live, work or visit, or alternatively to highlight those things which need to be changed to improve a location.

The Cirencester Placecheck will focus on the appearance and quality of the built environment in Castle Street, Silver Street, and Dyer Street.  Other options include: review Cricklade Street, North/South Way, Dollar Street,Gosiditch Street, The Waterloo.

To carry out the exercise all you need to do is walk through an area and:
Note the things you like and might like to see more of.
Note the things you dont like.
Make any other observations you would like to make about how to improve the street.

Details:
Initial briefing - 3.45pm The Crown
Debrief Session - 5pm The Golden Cross

A form will be provided to record your observations.
