Churn art group’s annual exhibition and tea party for Marie Curie cancer care.
We are a friendly group of amateurs who meet every week and have fun as we improve our skills. We use a range of techniques in watercolour, inks and acrylic paints and our subject matter is varied according to the seasons and our own interests. Whatever we choose to paint we find humour and fun...the day we drew prawns has never been forgotten!
Coming from all walks of life our members find support, humour and friendship in the welcoming surroundings of the Churn Project on the Waterloo. We have recently expanded to provide a second group. We meet on Wednesdays; 10 -12 and 1.00 - 3.00 during term time and we are always looking for new members.
Each year we hold an exhibition of our work and invite the public to view our progress and raise funds for Marie Curie cancer care. This year it will take the form of a ‘Tea Party’ at the Churn Project where visitors can relax with tea, coffee and cakes while they view the wonderful drawings and paintings many of which will be on sale.
