Climate Competition -Win Funding for a Community Project - Closing date 31st March.

Cirencester Town Council is running a competition to fund local innovative eco-friendly projects. The competition has three distinct themes: increasing biodiversity, reducing waste and reducing carbon footprint. Winning proposals will be selected by an independent panel of judges and will receive funding towards delivering their project.

Applicants should clearly showcase how their proposed project will contribute to the chosen theme and present a clear plan outlining how ongoing costs and required resources will be managed to ensure the successful implementation of their ideas.

The first prize winner will receive an award of £1,000 towards their project, while other exceptional entries will be awarded a share of £2,000, as determined by the judges. Cirencester Town Council welcomes individuals, groups, and communities of all ages to submit their ideas, aiming to inspire a wide range of participants.

To enter the competition, interested individuals should visit the Climate Hub page of the website. There, you can access the online entry form and download the information pack, which provides further detail about the competition guidelines.

Participants are encouraged to share their projects and entries using the hashtag, #CirenClimateComp. The submission deadline for entries is 31st March 2024. Winners will be officially announced at the Annual Meeting of the Town in April 2024, providing an opportunity for celebration and recognition of the innovation of local changemakers.
