Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan - Consultation Open - Please Respond before Sunday 17th March 2024

Over the past four years, Cirencester Town Council has been leading on and supporting the preparation of a Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan (CNP) by a Steering Group comprising a dedicated group of community representatives, Councillors and officers from Cirencester Town Council and Cotswold District Council and supported by our consultant, Feria Urbanism. It includes the contributions of those of you who have visited workshops and exhibitions alongside the group’s own research and investigations. Once ‘made’ the Neighbourhood Plan will hold legal status and as such would be used to influence and decide planning applications for new buildings and changes to existing buildings and decide on the use of land in Cirencester.

Whilst we have had a good response to the Neighbourhood Plan consultation so far, we want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to comment.

- Visit the Neighbourhood Plan Consultation where you can read all about the proposed planning policies in our draft plan and complete a questionnaire online.

- Watch a presentation on YouTube by our Planning Consultant, Richard Eastham which provides a summary of the plan and the proposed policies:

Please submit comments on the draft Neighbourhood Plan by Sunday 17th March 2024. Further details are available on our Neighbourhood Plan Website. See a printed copy, and pick up a paper version of the questionnaire, at Cirencester Town Council’s Local Information Centre at Bingham House, Cirencester Library.
