Environmental Wellbeing

Cirencester Town Council is active in responding to the Climate Emergency and our environmental wellbeing. We are in the process of Carbon Literacy certification and a Carbon Footprint Assessment. We have also launched an action plan to track and monitor our progress, as we work towards being carbon neutral. Our carbon footprint is made up of energy usage, vehicles, building and land use efficiency, waste, food consumption and our work and lifestyle choices. To make a difference we are taking steps to reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle where we can.

As part of our community engagement we are arranging a climate display in November for the foyer cases in the lobby at Bingham House, Dyer Street, including information about what we’re doing as a local council and helping to signpost residents to local projects/initiatives. Please pop in and have a look!
