Community Arboretum

Cirencester Town Council has sponsored a tree at the Jubilee Community Arboretum at Cirencester Park in memoriam to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, while creating new parkland for the enjoyment of all. There will be Community Planting Sessions at Cirencester Park on Saturday 18th February, 10am to 3pm.

This is part of the Queen’s Green Canopy, a nationwide initiative to mark the Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Extended to the end of the planting season (March 2023), it aims to create a living legacy and tribute to Her Majesty. It is also an opportunity to bring communities together to plant in areas that will benefit future generations.

Situated in former paddocks, the new arboretum will be open daily and easily reached from The Old Kennels, close to the new dining hub Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden and a nature-inspired play area by specialist designers Earth Wrights, due to open Easter 2023.
