No Mow May

The no mow may initiative was started in 2019 by conservation charity Plantlife, which is once again urging people to keep the mower locked up for another month to allow spring plants a chance to set seed before the first cutting, making for healthier, more diverse lawns.

Whilst we would encourage people not to mow as much as usual, at Cirencester Town Council we will continue to mow certain areas and where you see areas not cut as frequently, this is aimed at improving wildlife habitats and encouraging biodiversity which all help with responding to the climate emergency and improving the environment.
