2024 Christmas Window Winners Announced
Cirencester Town Centre has come alive with festive cheer, thanks to local businesses who have delivered some magical shop window displays. Cirencester’s Christmas shop windows have showcased the town's creativity and festive spirit, and the 2024 Christmas Window Competition, organised by Cirencester Town Council, aims to recognise the effort that goes into these annual displays.
Judging took place between the 1st December and Friday 13th December, with judges facing the delightful yet challenging task of scoring the entries. Windows were evaluated based on their originality/creativity, festivity, product display and overall visual impact.
The judges, Mayor, Sarah Orr, Deputy Mayor, Andrew Jopp and Community Services Manager, Becky Coles along with impartial judge, and Christmas in Cirencester headline sponsor, Sam McEwan, Sewell Mullings Logie Solicitors, were impressed by the variety of creative approaches, from traditional to contemporary.
Over 150 windows were appraised and, after careful deliberation and meticulous scoring, the winners have been announced as:
2024 Winner: French Grey
2024 Finalists: The Churn Project, The White Company, and Roses Florists
All four judges were impressed that so many businesses took part and put so much effort into their displays, they were amazed by the standard throughout.
Sarah Orr, Mayor of Cirencester added: "All the window displays were amazing. The effort the businesses had gone to, after another uncertain year, was inspiring. Congratulations to all the winners and my sincere thanks to everyone who has made our town centre look so festive this year.”
