Green Spaces Strategy Update

Following extensive engagement with the local community and stakeholders, officers are currently preparing a draft strategy, for consideration by the Council’s Green Spaces Strategy Group on March 4th.

The Final Report and Delivery Programme, providing recommendations on project delivery and prioritisation will be considered by the Council on May 13th and will be published for the public to comment on no later than w/c 5th May.

In the mean time we are making progress on the Norman Arch and Cottage refurbishment works with the aim of being able to re-let on a residential basis in late Spring/early Summer. Also, we are seeking to commission an architects design to replace the former Scout Hut, now known as the Obelisk Community Rooms, with the aim of applying for planning permission for a re-build in late Summer/early Autumn.
