Help Shape the Future of Parking in Cirencester
We are launching this research to understand and gather solid evidence about the real pressures and challenges residents are facing with on-street parking in Cirencester.
Our goal is to present this evidence to Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) and gain the necessary support from Cabinet members to revisit the issue and take meaningful action. This could lead to a new Parking Review—something many in the community are calling for.
GCC has been clear, that to get GCC backing, our research must show a strong mandate from the community.
Specifically, we need:
‘a response from at least 50% of Cirencester households within a scheme boundary, with at least 70% of those supporting the introduction of resident parking restrictions’
This is a high bar—but with your help, it’s achievable. If you’ve ever struggled with parking near your home, or concerned about access for care providers and emergency vehicles, had difficulty receiving deliveries, or simply want a better system for your street, this is your chance to be heard.
