Ciren Safe

You may have seen from recent social media posts from the Police that retail crime and anti-social behaviour in the town have increased, however there have been some excellent results via the Ciren Safe scheme which we champion and actively encourage retailers to join.

From our Community Services budget we pay an annual subscription to the Ciren Safe scheme, providing a ‘Storenet’ radio that is directly linked to the local police station; it also connects with CCTV monitoring and other shops in the town that are part of the scheme.

This is an important tool in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour and sends out a clear message to the community that we are doing all we can to keep our town centre safe.
