The nearest railway station is Kemble, approximately 7 miles away, on the Cheltenham-Swindon-London line. Trains run to Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham (for Midlands and the North) and to Swindon (for London Paddington, Reading, Bath, Bristol and South Wales). Coach
National Express offers a regular service from Cirencester to London. The pick-up point is just outside the long-stay car park at Beeches Road (GL7 1BW). Find out more on the National Express website.

Road
From the North and South leave the M5 at junction 11a and follow the A417 towards Cirencester. From the East leave the M4 at junction 15 (Swindon) and follow the A417. From the West leave the M4 at either junction 17 or 18 and follow the signposts to Cirencester.

Cirencester is situated in the county of Gloucestershire and lies on the Rive Churn, a tributary of the River Thames. The town enjoys a central position with London, to the East, only 90 minutes away via the M4 motorway, Birmingham to the North is 75 minutes away, and Devon to the South only 2 hours down the M5 motorway.

Whiteway Car Park GL7 2ER
For permit holders only.
The Whiteway car park provides an additional 151 parking spaces, 3 disabled bays and 4 electric vehicle bays with fast charging points.

Weekends and Bank Holidays
FREE parking is available at the Cotswold District Council Offices, Trinity Road GL7 1PX and at St James Place Headquarters, Tetbury Road, GL7 1FP


Blue Badge Holders
There are dedicated spaces with ease of access to the shops in the following off street car parks: • Abbey Grounds • Brewery • Forum • Old Station • Waterloo. Blue Badge holders can also park in the designated pay and display bays in the Market Place and along Castle Street, free of charge for up to three hours. Please note that Cricklade Street is a pedestrian zone and prohibits access to traffic, including Blue Badge holders, from Monday to Saturday between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The Town Council has produced a leaflet for Blue Badge Holders, you can download the Welcome to Cirencester leaflet. Hard copies of this leaflet can be obtained from our Local Information Office.

Taxis
There are a number of local taxi firms, and the taxi rank is located in the Market Place outside the Kings Head Hotel.

On Street Parking
On Street parking is available in the Market Place and Castle Street, and charges apply. For more information about On Street Parking, including charges and ways to pay, can be found on Gloucestershire County Council’s website.


Toilets

Cotswold District Council operates public toilets in the Forum and Brewery car parks, a small cash payment of 40p is required. There are also free toilets in the Abbey Grounds and St. Michael’s Park open from 8am to 4pm.

Changing Places Facility, Abbey Grounds
The changing places facility is conveniently located near the town entrance of Abbey Grounds, adjacent to the renovated public toilets. The facility is open to the general public with radar key access and opening hours are 8am to 4pm. Features include:
- height-adjustable changing bed with a hoist
- centrally placed toilet with grab rails and sliding door
- sink with lever-operated taps
The installation is a culmination of a collaborative effort by Cotswold District Council, Cirencester Town Council, and the Changing Places Consortium. Changing Places Website
