Litter Picking Supported by Cirencester Town Council.
Cirencester Town Council is once again supporting ‘The Great British Spring Clean’, Britain’s biggest mass action environmental Campaign, organised each year by Keep Britain Tidy. This year the campaign will run from 20th March to 13th April 2020.
The Town Council is keen to support anyone who wants to get involved - residents, schools, community groups and businesses in Cirencester. Let us know about your litter pick and we will help you arrange it, provide access to equipment, advertise the event and record numbers involved on KBT website.
Tackling litter is not just about one campaign, it about sustained action to tackle litter and change behaviour over time and the Town Council wants to encourage litter picks throughout the year.
Councillor Mark Harris says ‘A litter pick is a really positive way that people who live and work in Cirencester can make a difference to our town. We all have a part to play in keeping Cirencester beautiful’.
Contact info@cirencester.gov.uk and we will help you with access to litter pickers, hi vis vests, bags and collection of rubbish. You may want to join an existing group and we can help you find one.
We live in a beautiful town . It is for all of us to keep Cirencester Clean and Green.
