This year’s Advent Market takes place in and around the Market Place and brings Christmas celebration to the town including live entertainment and music for all the family. This is a fantastic Christmas Market set to the festive back drop of the Christmas lights, Christmas tree and live music and carols from local community performers. The extended market stretches the whole length of the Market Place and also spreads into Cricklade Street and Castle Street. With over 100 stalls on site there is sure to be something for everyone. This is the highlight of our events calendar. The lights will be switched on at 4 pm.
Cirencester Town Council has partnered with Keystone events management to put together a programme of performances inside the Parish Church, featuring local dance and theatre groups, choirs and musicians. This will also be live streamed onto the big screen on the Market Place.
At 4pm on 26th November we will be having our Light Switch On which this year will take place on the Market Place, with the mayor and our lead sponsor doing the honours. Falling snow and silent fireworks, courtesy of our sponsors, and light projections in the Market Place will make it extra special.
