Join Kathleen Murphy in this textiles workshop to create a joyful, handstitched bunting-style banner inspired by fairy tales and European folk art.

Over the course of the day you will use hand stitch, embroidery and applique techniques to make a set of small, colourful panels, also known as pennants, which can be hung together to create bunting or a jolly wall hanging piece. Your design will be based around symbols and motifs from folk art such as birds, hearts, dancing figures, flowers and Wycinanki patterns.

Bunting to hang all year round – not just for special occasions. A little previous hand stitch experience would be helpful but beginners are also welcome.
