The New Brewery Arts are organising an Exhibition for 10 weeks.
Meanings and Messages is a major touring exhibition by the Association for Contemporary Jewellery, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Brooches can be subversive and are often used by people in the publc eye, by political figures or sovereignty to convey important messages. These messages may be hidden, subtle or occasionally more of an overt protest!
Showcasing 60 unique brooches created by 60 current ACJ members, the exhibition will explore the meanings and messages behind the ideal jewellery archetype: the brooch.
Meanings and Messages is curated into six distinct themes; sparkling dialogues between the brooches and encouraging conversations and reflections from viewers.
Exhibiting artists include Allison Macleod, Anne Morgan, Catherine Hartley, Mark Mcleish, Toby Cotterill and many more.
