Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza

  • South Cerney Airfield Cirencester, England, GL7 United Kingdom (map)

The South West’s largest festival of vintage transport returns. The Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza will make a welcome return to South Cerney Airfield, near Cirencester, on 2-4 August 2024. Now, after nearly 50 years, it’s regarded as one of the biggest and best steam, vintage and countryside events in the UK – and organisers have frozen ticket prices again for this year.

Run entirely by volunteers, it will boast a huge array of vehicles, from steam engines, buses and coaches, military machines, classic cars and motorcycles all the way through to commercials, trucks, pushbikes, tractors, vintage caravans and much more! There are three live arenas that are an integral part of the educational aspect of the show, and feature demonstrations, vehicle parades and commentary.

But the event is not just about transport. There will also be an Animal and Countryside Arena, vintage fairground attractions and a new addition for 2024 – an entertainment tent featuring live music, dance lessons, and vintage hair and fashion. Add a huge array of trade stands, food and drink stalls including the We’ll Meet Again Tea Room, and free vintage bus rides, and it makes for an unforgettable day out for the whole family.
