Inspired by her Cotswold childhood and a lifelong appreciation of British wildlife, local artist Anita Saunders presents A Country Life—a vibrant and characterful exhibition celebrating the natural world.

Bringing together oil paintings, lino and screen prints, and hand-crafted soft furnishings, this collection reflects Anita’s distinctive style and love of pattern, colour and form.

Working from her studio near Cirencester, Anita holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Her original printmaking has received growing recognition, with work selected for the Society of Women Artists Open Exhibition at Mall Galleries (2022–2024), as well as exhibitions with Ironbridge Fine Arts Printmakers (2023–2025).

As Anita reflects:
“With daily visits from ducks and an array of garden birds, it’s no surprise that our feathered friends feature prominently in this exhibition. I’ve been slightly obsessed with chickens recently, setting their varied plumage against vivid, intricate block-printed patterns.”

A Country Life is a joyful celebration of the birds and animals that inspire this nature-loving artist—inviting visitors to pause and reconnect with the beauty of the everyday countryside.
