Green Flag Award for St Michael's Park

The Council’s Land and Property Team have been hard at work again this year ensuring that St Michael’s Park was ready for judging, we are pleased to say that we have been awarded the Green Flag for 2020/21.

Parks and Open Spaces have been key to peoples recreation over the last 8 months, due to restrictions on a lot of indoor activities, its been really important to us to ensure that they are well maintained and safe for all to enjoy. There has been an increase in clubs and classes being run in these idyllic settings for example Tai Chi, fitness and martial arts as well as book readings.

Cirencester Town Council also manages the Abbey Grounds, City Bank Local Nature reserve and many more green spaces along with the help of a number of volunteer groups.
