Climate Change and our Banking

When we declared a climate emergency, we thought it was important to start with ourselves as an organisation and to lead by example. We are a carbon footprint standard assessed organisation and have included various environmental priorities within our corporate strategy. Just like any individual or organisation, we need to have access to a bank. We have taken time to review the banks and financial organisations we bank and invest with. At a recent meeting of the Council and based on their environmental and ethical investment policies, it was decided to bank with Handelsbanken, www.handelsbanken.co.uk We also encourage the public to ask their bank how its responding to the climate emergency.
