Update - Norman Arch and Cottage

Whilst progress is being made, the refurbishment is turning out to be more complex than first envisaged and therefore is behind schedule by a number of months, with completion now expected later this year; it has also been challenging securing specialist sub-contractors for some of the works. We are currently prioritising works to make the cottage fit for renting and applying for grants to complete vital works for the long term conservation of the cottage and arch.

This is an historic and much valued property within the scheduled ancient monument of the Abbey Grounds; at a recent meeting of the Council it was agreed to set aside additional funds so that more extensive repairs could be carried out.
