Council Budget and Council Tax Information
At the recent meeting of the Town Council tough decisions had to be made on the budget estimates for 2024-25, with both the internal and external auditor advising that we had to address our low reserves. We also want to continue to deliver various projects and improvements on your behalf which directly influence the social, environmental and economic well-being of the town, as well as maintaining our extensive open spaces, parks and recreation areas which we know are valued by the public and contribute to positive mental well-being.
The Town Council needs to raise money through the local council tax as it receives no funding from central government or direct funding from Cotswold District Council or Gloucestershire County Council. The increase for a Band D household is 28.9% which equates to 97 pence per week. Details are outlined in the budget infographic.
