Abbey Ward – Welcome to Erin

We are delighted to welcome Erin Hughes to the team at CTC, as a co-opted Town Councillor for the Abbey Ward.

Erin studied at Cirencester College and has toured the world as an opera singer and performed at the Phoenix Festival, Advent Festival and Big Lunches. Erin works in the charity sector and outside of professional life, she has been the musical director of a support choir for people affected by cancer and has supported the PTA at her son’s primary school.

Committed to the continual improvement of our community and green spaces for all ages and abilities Erin understands what it is like to bring up a family in Cirencester in the current economic climate, particularly in the Abbey Ward area, and the kind of issues local people and voluntary organisations are facing.

Erin shares the Council’s commitment to collaborative working and has the ability to listen, and understand, the community and the confidence speak up for them.
