Cirencester Town Council 2026 Big Lunch event launched
Cirencester Town Council is excited to announce the return of The Big Lunch! The Council’s free, family-friendly community event on Sunday 28th June in the Abbey Grounds between 12 noon to 6pm.
This year’s theme, ‘Try Something New’, invites local groups, charities, and community organisations to take part, helping to showcase the breadth of opportunities, services, and support available in Cirencester. Whether you’re a local resident, a first-time visitor, or a long-standing community champion, The Big Lunch is your invitation to connect, discover and get involved.
Cirencester Mayor, Sarah Orr, said. “The Big Lunch is about everyone in Cirencester coming together, celebrating our shared spaces, and getting involved in what makes our community strong.”
Now in its fourth year, The Big Lunch has quickly become one of Cirencester’s most anticipated community events, drawing people from across the town to come together, share food, and enjoy a vibrant day of fun, entertainment, and togetherness. The event has also attracted a Headline sponsor this year, Cirencester based Redkite Solicitors.
Gemma Millard, Commercial Operations and Strategy Director at Redkite Solicitors, said:
“At Redkite, supporting our local communities is a core part of who we are as a business, not just something we do occasionally. It’s been a pleasure working more closely with the Community Services team at Cirencester Town Council, whose dedication to creating inclusive, community‑led events has made collaborating on this year’s Big Lunch especially rewarding.
The Big Lunch is a fantastic example of community spirit in action, bringing people together, helping people discover new opportunities, and strengthening local connections. We’re proud to be the Headline Sponsor this year and to work with Cirencester Town Council to help deliver an event that reflects the values of inclusion, participation and support that matter so much to us.”
Becky Coles, Head of Community Services at Cirencester Town Council said, “We are really delighted that Redkite Solicitors are this year’s Big Lunch Headline Sponsor. Gemma Millard and her team have helped shape the event this year and CTC really appreciate their support. Thanks to their help, we believe this will be the best Big Lunch yet!”
