Join Anne Ward for this introduction to Contemporary Hand Stitch. This workshop is an opportunity to learn and play with a variety of techniques to create your own sampler to take home.

You will learn about the interesting history of samplers, then you will be shown and given the opportunity to practice five hand stitches at your own pace. The stitches covered will be: running stitch, French knots, chain stitch, herringbone stitch and hand couching. These will form the basis your contemporary stitch sampler. If desired you could make links to mark making, using stitch as your design tool.
