Cirencester Town Council Promotional Video – A Christmas Wish

COVID has had an impact on all aspects of life, our social and economic well-being. Pre-lockdown, Cirencester also faced the challenge of a decline in high street retail and competition from on-line shopping, with well-known and well-loved high street stores closing. Cirencester Town Council has listened and responded to concerns raised by the local business community and together has been working on a number of initiatives to build on the towns strong independent retail presence, as well as its history, culture and heritage.

Led by the Mayor of Cirencester, Cllr Patrick Coleman, the Town Council has worked with Barn Media, the Chamber of Commerce and Cotswold District Council to re-open the high street for business.

With the publication of a shopping guide and media video, the Town Council has demonstrated in practical ways how it is supporting and promoting local business, retail and the street markets. Creating a shopping experience to enjoy, alongside raising awareness of being able to shop local on-line.

A CHRISTMAS DREAM was created by Barn Media and Enderley Pictures for Cirencester Town Council. Special thanks go to The Tapley Family, The Dibbs Family, Victoria Calvert, BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Dominic Cotter, Cirencester Town Council and the Community Services team of Becky Coles, Sarah Bartlett & Valerie Smith, Cirencester Chamber of Commerce and all the Cirencester businesses that collaborated, Canon Graham and everyone involved at The Parish Church of St John The Baptist, Cirencester
