At the recent meeting of the Town Council tough decisions had to be made on the budget estimates for 2024-25, with both the internal and external auditor advising that we had to address our low reserves.
Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan - Consultation Open - Please Respond before Sunday 17th March 2024
Whilst we have had a good response to the Neighbourhood Plan consultation so far, we want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to comment.
Climate Competition -Win Funding for a Community Project - Closing date 31st March.
Cirencester Town Council is running a competition to fund local innovative eco-friendly projects. The competition has three distinct themes: increasing biodiversity, reducing waste and reducing carbon footprint.
The Music Bus Comes to Cirencester
Every Thursday the Music Bus which will be at Abbey Grounds from the 8th February to 7th March and Kingshill Skate Park from the 15th March to 14th April. Come and make music!

Cotswold District Local Plan Update and Cirencester Town Centre Masterplan Consultation
CDC is updating its adopted Local Plan to make it “Green to the Core”. The adopted Local Plan covers a period from 2011 to 2031. During this period the Council also is consulting upon a draft Framework Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document for Cirencester Central Area (a town centre masterplan)
Volunteering Opportunities @ CTC
Would you like the opportunity to volunteer in your local community for a hour, half a day, or even a week? Cirencester Town Council is inviting expressions of interest to volunteer between Monday 11th March and Friday 22nd March, and Monday 8th April through to Friday 19th April.

The Town Council is launching a road map to reduce its carbon emissions, offsetting over the next few years but with the aim of carbon neutrality by 2030.

On the 24th of November our CEO, Andrew Tubb and Mayor Cllr Sabrina Dixon joined the Police and Crime Commissioner and District Councillors on the Reclaim the Night march organised by GRASAC.
Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking
On the 24th of November our Mayor, Cllr Sabrina Dixon opened the Hiding in Plain Sight conference on Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking which was organised by the Cirencester & District Soroptimist International Club with the Cheltenham & District Club.
