At our most recent Junior Town Council meeting, the children established their own political parties we have the Watermoor Warriors, The Uprising Shakers Party ‘Modern Junior Voice’ and Corinium Collaborators.

At the recent annual meeting of the Council, Councillor Sarah Orr was elected as the new Mayor of Cirencester and Chair of Council, with Cllr Andy Jopp being elected as Deputy Mayor and Vice-Chair

We held our first ever Junior Town Council meeting last month, with around 30 children from local Primary Schools.

At the recent meeting of the Town Council tough decisions had to be made on the budget estimates for 2024-25, with both the internal and external auditor advising that we had to address our low reserves.

CDC is updating its adopted Local Plan to make it “Green to the Core”. The adopted Local Plan covers a period from 2011 to 2031. During this period the Council also is consulting upon a draft Framework Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document for Cirencester Central Area (a town centre masterplan)
