A new rain garden has been installed at St Michael’s Park, improving biodiversity while helping manage surface water in a more sustainable way.

This May, selected green spaces will be left uncut to support pollinators, boost biodiversity and create valuable habitats for wildlife as part of No Mow May. A small change that can make a big difference for nature.

At its meeting on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, Gloucestershire County Council Cabinet approved recommendations for the Safer Roads and Community 20s project, setting out budget spend, how locations will be prioritised, how communities will be engaged, and how decisions will be made, as well as confirming the approach to its delivery; this is supported by Cirencester Town Council.
