The Cirencester Mop Fairs will be held in the town centre’s streets and Market Place on Monday 7th & Monday 14th October between 12pm to 10pm, maintaining the historic Charter, held by the Nichols family, that ensures the fairs can be held in the town each year….

In accordance with the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, Cirencester Town Council has published the notice of conclusion of audit along with the Annual Governance and Accounting statements and the External Audit Report and Certificate for 2023-24

In early 2024, the Town Council was required to fell a diseased Beech Tree in Abbey Grounds. To honour the tree’s legacy and connect young people with their local heritage, the Council decided to transform the felled tree into a distinctive natural play feature featuring three animals of local significance: The Hare, the Phoenix, and the Cotswold Lion Sheep.
